Job Description

This role requires experience in steel framing for residential and/or commercial construction, with a focus on working in a fast-paced environment. The carpenter will be responsible for reading blueprints and plans, measuring layouts, cutting steel studs and tracks, installing metal studs, and preparing drywall backing and framing.

• Perform steel framing for walls, floors, roofs, and structural elements according to project plans and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction documents.
• Ensure work meets company quality standards, building codes, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to maintain an efficient and safe job site.
• Accurately measure, cut, and assemble framing materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Carpentry, framing, and drywall experience.
• 2+ years of framing carpentry experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of framing techniques, construction math, and building codes.
• Ability to work safely at heights and with power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

• Willing and able to travel for warranty work with expenses covered.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Must have personal basic tools such as hand tools, caulking gun, grinder, hammer, measuring tape, and power tool bits.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.

Work is conducted on outdoor job sites, requiring strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Employees must be able to work independently and address on-site issues. The attire includes steel toe boots, jeans, and long sleeve shirts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montebello, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Montebello,CA.
