Technical Recruiter
Genesis Technical Staffing partners with engineering, construction, and industrial clients to place skilled engineering talent across a variety of disciplines and industries. We're looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter for a rewarding career in Birmingham, AL (in-office).

POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Recruiter will manage recruiting, interviewing, placement and servicing for engineering and construction roles which includes sourcing, screening, and securing candidates for piping, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and related industrial disciplines. This is an on-site position based in Birmingham, AL office; remote work is not available.  Previous EPC experience is a plus!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage recruiting for engineering and construction positions, from intake through offer and placement
• Publish, review, source, screen, and qualify candidates while also managing and tracking support vendors.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of engineering and construction talent for current and future client needs
• Conduct in-depth candidate interviews to assess technical qualifications, work history, and cultural fit
• Partner with account managers and clients to understand role requirements and hiring timelines
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate and requisition records.
• Negotiate pay rates, offers, and placement terms with candidates and managers.
• Manage existing contract personnel.
• Ensure compliance with employment documentation and staffing industry regulations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in engineering, construction, or industrial staffing
• Demonstrated ability to source and screen technical/skilled-trades candidates
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Must be local to, or willing to relocate to, the Birmingham, AL area — this is not a remote position
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high-level of accuracy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Longevity/tenure in previous roles — a stable employment history is a strong plus
• Experience recruiting for piping, structural, mechanical, civil, or project controls disciplines or related disciplines
• Prior experience in a staffing agency, HR recruiting or third-party recruiting environment

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• Pay: Depends on Experience (DOE)
