Software Engineer - Huntsville job at Northrop Grumman Huntsville, AL, US

Job Description

Salary: $78,460 - 117,690 per year Requirements:

Bachelors degree in a STEM-related field with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree with 10 years of relevant expertise, or 8 years with a PhD.
Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application is mandatory.
Significant experience in software development utilizing C++ or Java.
Quick ability to learn and grasp new concepts.
Familiarity with MATLAB and/or Python.
Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration.
Capability to support an in-person/closed-area work environment.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate within the Internal Research and Development (IRAD) team to comprehend system specifications and implement new features and algorithms.
Design and apply complex mathematical and physics-based solutions critical to system performance.
Participate in reviews of software requirements and testing cases developed for software capabilities.
