UP TO A $2,000 SIGN ON BONUS FOR CERTIFIED DIALYSIS CLINICAL TECHNICIANS

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Dialysis Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work in patient care and a passion for helping individuals with kidney disease. As a Clinical Dialysis Technician, you will play a vital role in providing dialysis treatments and ensuring the well-being of our patients.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Detroit Northwest Lahser Dialysis is a 24-station unit operating three shifts, six days a week handling complex patients from ages 20-90 years old. Many require assistance with mobility devices. Operating hours for patients are 5:00 am - 8:00 pm and team members are scheduled 4:30 am to 8:30 pm. Employee schedules are made through several shift designs. Patients are medically managed by several Nephrologist and Advanced Practice practitioners (APP) We have Registered Dietitians and Social Workers to address the concrete patient needs such as transportation or dietary needs. Unit staffing includes a Nurse Manager as well as many Registered Nurses and Dialysis Clinical Technicians. We have additional support staff of Biomed Techs and Dialysis Assistants overseen by a technical leader.

**GENERAL SUMMARY:**

Ready to make a real difference in patients' lives? As a Dialysis Clinical Technician, you'll be at the heart of our Northwest Detroit Dialysis Lahser center, delivering compassionate, expert care every single day. Here's what you'll be doing:

• Deliver expert dialysis treatments according to prescribed protocols and physician orders
• Keep a close eye on patients during treatment, monitoring vital signs and responding quickly to any changes in condition
• Master the dialysis machines and keep them running smoothly, including performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as needed
• Skillfully administer medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed by the physician
• Empower patients and their families with knowledge about dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and self-care techniques
• Keep meticulous records that tell each patient's story, documenting treatment activities and progress with accuracy and care
• Champion infection control and safety standards throughout the dialysis unit
• Drive continuous improvement and grow your expertise by participating in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a dialysis technician training program preferred.
• Certification as a Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) required within 18-months of employment.
