As the Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Carmelo’s, Beyond running the floor, you build the environment where employees thrive and guests feel valued. You’ll work side-by-side with the General Manager to drive daily operations, mentor a top-tier team, maintain high standards for food and beverage, and create an atmosphere where guests feel like family—and keep coming back for more. While we have a deep appreciation for wine, sommelier experience or a strong background in wine service is highly preferred but not required.
What You’ll Do
● Lead from the Front: Supervise daily floor operations, ensuring seamless service, high energy, and unforgettable guest experiences.
● Build & Inspire: Help recruit, train, develop, and retain a high-performing team of hospitality professionals.
● Drive Results: Partner with leadership on inventory, labor control, scheduling, and P&L accountability.
● Champion Quality: Maintain rock-solid standards for food quality, food safety, bar execution, and cleanliness.
● Embody the Culture: Foster a positive, inclusive, and fun work environment where team members thrive.
What We’re Looking For
● Experience: 2+ years of high-volume restaurant management experience. FOH/BOH leadership experience preferred.
● Leadership: A natural coach with strong communication skills and a passion for people development.
● Execution: Strong understanding of restaurant operations, financial performance, labor management, inventory systems, and the ability to turn plans into results.
● Energy: High energy, a cool head under pressure, and a deep love for great food, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences.
